Traditional steamed dumplings made with rice flour and spiced chana dal filling, a healthy and authentic Indian snack.
Ingredients

Rice flour 400 g;

Warm water 300 ml;

Oil 20 ml;

Salt 3 g;

Chana dal (overnight soaked) 100 g;

Garlic 10 g;

Green chilli 10 g;

Cumin seeds 5 g;

Hing 1.25 g
Directions
Grind soaked chana dal with garlic, green chilli, cumin seeds and hing into a coarse mixture.
In a bowl, mix rice flour, salt and oil. Add warm water gradually and knead into a soft dough.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into small discs.
Place the prepared dal filling in the center and fold into dumpling shape, keep the edges open.
Pour 200 ml (1 cup) water into the combi pan. Place the crisper plate over the combi pan and arrange the prepared fara on it.
Slide the combi pan into the level 1 and move the SmartSwitch to COMBI COOKER mode.
Select COMBI STEAM, set temperature to 180*C and time to 20 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking. Once done, carefully remove and serve hot.
Recipe Note
Ensure dough is soft and filling is coarsely ground for best texture.
