If you're looking to sneak more fruits and veggies into your diet, smoothies are a great place to start. If you aren't ready to dive headfirst into green smoothies packed with kale and spinach or are looking for something just a bit sweeter, this Beet and Berry Blast is a great place to start. The sweetness of the strawberries, raspberries, and banana mask the earthiness of the beet. And the vibrant magenta hue is quite swoon-worthy!
In most smoothie recipes that use beet as an ingredient, you need to cook or grate the beet. However the Foodi 'IM Blender is powerful enough to pulverize tough ingredients, making easy work of a tough, raw beet.
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 cup frozen raspberries
- ½ beet, washed, peeled, and sliced
