Flaky pastry filled with spiced mashed potatoes for a crispy, comforting bite.
Ingredients
For potato base
-
Boiled potatoes 200-250gm
-
Finely chopped green chillies 2-3 gm

Finely chopped ginger 2-3 gm
-
Finely chopped coriander leaves 5–8 gm

Oil 2–3 gm

Salt to taste
-
Fennel powder 1gm
-
Cumin powder 1gm
-
Coriander powder 1gm
-
Black pepper powder 0.5 gm
For aloo patties
-
Ready to use puff pastry sheet- 6 pc
Directions
To make potato base
Prepared veggies as per mentioned next to it. Take a bowl, mashed boiled potato & mix all ingredients mentioned in “for potato base”. Give it good mix, keep aside
To make aloo patties
Thaw the puff pastry sheets until soft but still chilled.
Lightly dust the surface with flour and roll out slightly if needed. Cut the pastry into equal rectangles or squares.
Place the prepared filling in the center of one piece.
Apply a little water wash along the edges. Cover with another pastry sheet (or fold over) and press edges to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork for a neat finish.
Brush the top with milk wash for a golden crust (optional- Make small slits on top to allow steam to escape). Put this on baking/butter paper separately.
To bake aloo patties
Take bake tray assemble patties on it by creating space in between.
Select bake. set temperature to 180° C for 20 minutes. Press start to begin the preheat (the unit will preheat for 3-5minutes before cooking).
When preheat is complete, open door and slide pan into Level 1. Close the door to start cooking.
Once cooking done pull out the pan (if you think you want more brown color on patties cook it for more 3-5minutes on same time-temperature).
Recipe Note
Let them cool slightly before serving to allow the filling to set.
