Hummus is a staple in our house, and we are firm believers that homemade hummus tastes the best. That's not to say we've never purchased a tub for convenience when entertaining or traveling, but there is no comparison to the flavor you are able to build with this homemade version. This feature roasted red peppers, but you can easily switch up the flavor based on your preference (think: roasted garlic, fresh herbs, or briny olives). For a more traditional version, omit the red peppers and basil.
