Directions
Mix the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a suitable bowl. Add the milk, vanilla, egg yolks and melted butter and mix until the prepared dough starts to come together. Transfer the prepared dough to a floured surface and knead it by hand for 2 minutes. Shape the prepared dough into a ball, place it in a suitable oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let the prepared dough rise in a warm place for around 1 to 1½ hours, or until the prepared dough has doubled in size.
While the prepared dough is rising, melt one tablespoon of butter in a suitable saucepan on the stovetop. Add the diced peaches, cinnamon and sugar to taste. Cook the peaches for about 5 minutes, or until the soften. Set the peaches aside to cool.
Place the Cook & Crisp Basket in your Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer.
When the prepared dough has riesn, transfer it to a flored surface and shape it into a 12-inch circle. Spread the peaches over half of the circle and fold the other half of the prepared dough over the top. With a knife or a board scraper, score the prepared dough by making slits in the prepared dough in a diamond shape. Push the knife straight down into the prepared dough and peaches, rather than slicing through. You should cut through the top layer of dough, but not the bottom. Roll the prepared dough up into a log from one short end to the other. It should be 8 inches long. Some of the peaches will be sticking out of the prepared dough - don’t worry, these are supposed to be a little random. Cut the log into 8 equal slices. Place the prepared dough disks on a floured cookie sheet, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for around 30 minutes.
Put on the Smart Lid on top of the Ninja Foodi Steam Fryer.
Move the Lid Slider to the “Air Fry/Stovetop“. Select the “Air Fry“ mode for cooking.
Air-fry 2 or 3 fritters at a time at 185°C, for around 3 minutes. Flip them over and continue to air-fry for another 2 to 3 minutes, until they are golden brown.
Mix the powdered sugar and milk in a suitable bowl. Mix vigorously until smooth. Allow the fritters to cool for atleast 10 minutes and then brush the glaze over both the bottom and top of each one. Serve warm or at room temparature.
