Ingredients
- 1 large onion
- 65g flour, plus 2 tablespoons
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

120ml beer, plus 2 tablespoons
- 85g crushed panko breadcrumbs
- oil for misting or cooking spray

Directions
- Peel onion, slice, and separate into rings.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Add beer and stir until it stops foaming and makes a thick batter.
- Place onion rings in batter and stir to coat.
- Place breadcrumbs in a sealable plastic bag or container with lid.
- Working with a few at a time, remove onion rings from the batter, shaking off excess, and drop into breadcrumbs. Shake to coat, then lay out onion rings on cookie sheet or wax paper.
- When finished, spray onion rings with oil or cooking spray and pile them into the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 200°C for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and mist with oil. Cook for 5 minutes and mist again. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes more, until golden brown and crispy.
