Ingredients

2 red onions, pureéd
-
3 cloves of garlic, pureéd

1 inch ginger, pureéd

1 can (439g) chickpeas (soaked)

1 can (439g) pinto beans
-
220g ground beef
-
1 teaspoon fennel powder
-
1 teaspoon cumin powder
-
2 teaspoons curry powder
-
1 teaspoon coriander powder
-
1 teaspoon chicken stock
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
100ml water
-
Olive Oil
GARNISH:
-
4-6 eggs
-
3 onions (cubed)
-
1 green chilli (sliced)
-
2 large tomatoes (cubed)
-
1 wedge of lime
Serve with:

1 French Loaf or Baguette (sliced and toasted)

Directions
Move slider to AIR FRY/HOB mode and select SAUTÉ function at Hi-5 on the SmartLid™. Add oil into the pot. Once hot, fry egg gently on one side and close lid to cook. After 2 minutes, remove eggs and set aside for garnishing later. Add a generous amount of oil and once hot, fry the onion, garlic and ginger pureés until it splits.
Add ground beef and stir-fry until beef turns brown. Add chickpeas along with its brine and pinto beans along with its tomato sauce. Add cumin powder, fennel powder, coriander powder, chicken stock, curry powder and salt. Stir gently to combine.
Close lid and move slider to PRESSURE mode and ensure valve is at SEAL. PRESSURE COOK on Hi for 3 minutes. When the SmartLid™ beeps, turn valve to VENT to release pressure. Use burger presser to lightly mash the beans. It should not be too thick or too runny. Add water if needed. Season with salt and give it a quick stir. Scoop out Kacang Phool mixture and set aside.
Place sliced French loaves onto basket and move slider to AIR FRY/HOB mode and select AIR FRY function for 3 minutes at 200°C.
Scoop Kacang Phool into a bowl, garnish with chopped onions, sliced green chillies, cubed tomatoes, fried egg and a wedge of lime. Serve with toasted French loaves.
