Option 1: Easy 40 mins Nian Gao.
- 200g Glutinous Rice Flour
- 110g Brown Sugar
- 50g Gula Melaka/ Palm Sugar
- 285g Water
- Banana Leaves
Pressure Cook mode for a quick 40 mins
Option 2: Traditional Slow Cook Nian Gao.
- 200g Glutinous Rice Flour
- 180g Sugar
- 240g Water
- Banana Leaves
Use Slow Cook mode to steam overnight if you like traditional taste.
Note from Miki:
While slow-cooking the Nian Gao, I’ve tested the power consumption. The NF Slow Cook power consumption is low, so it's ok to cook for long hours, need not worry about your electric bill!
